Local Services Ads

Place a dedicated NMC tracking number in your Google Local Services Ads account.

Local Services Ads uses a dedicated tracking number that you add to your Local Services Ads account yourself. Connecting your standard Google Ads account in NMC does not change the phone number shown on your Local Services Ads.

  1. Open Tracking for the business and start Local Services Ads tracking.
  2. Pick a verified forwarding number, then choose a tracking number. See where new numbers come from.
  3. Review the quote and choose Start tracking.
  4. Copy the new tracking number and save it as the phone number in your Local Services Ads account.
  5. Return to NMC and open the tracking source to check its status.
  6. Confirm your Local Services Ads account displays the new number, then call it from another phone to test call forwarding.

Calls to that number arrive in NMC under the Local Services Ads channel. You still manage your ad budget, profile, and any disputed-lead credits directly inside Google’s Local Services Ads dashboard, and calls to this number aren’t matched to standard Google Search ad clicks.

To import Local Services Ads spend and see your cost per lead on Overview, connect Local Services Ads.

Choose Remove tracking on the tracking source in NMC, and then swap your regular business phone number back into your Local Services Ads account before the tracking number’s release date. Calls continue forwarding normally until that release date, and releasing a number in NMC never edits your Local Services Ads account automatically. Confirm your regular phone number is live on Google after updating it.
