Email notifications

Choose which alert emails you receive and manage extra lead-alert recipients for each business.

Every signed-in user controls their own email preferences. Open Settings → Email alerts, toggle each alert on or off, and choose Save. Your switches apply across every business you have access to.

Email When NMC sends it
New lead alert Sent once per new lead right after AI review finishes (or immediately when there’s nothing for AI to review).
Missed call alert Sent after the first unanswered call on a lead (including calls that go to voicemail), with one-tap links to call or text the customer back.
Weekly digest Sent Monday mornings starting at 8:00 a.m. in the business timezone, summarizing the prior Sunday through Saturday. Skipped on quiet weeks with zero new leads unless there was Google Ads spend to report.
Problems Sent when something important breaks and remains unfixed, with the problem’s title, impact, and a button opening the page where you fix it. (Minor dashboard notices stay in the dashboard without sending an email.)

NMC sends a Problems email when any of these occur (unless fixed before the email goes out):

  • A Google integration needs reconnecting.
  • Your Google Ads account, Local Services Ads account, or Google Analytics property can’t be reached or isn’t active (or Google Analytics loses its data stream or NMC secret key).
  • Calls Google lists in your Local Services Ads account stop reaching your NMC tracking number.
  • A Google Ads call asset stops serving, your website records zero visits for 7 days, or your website number pool runs short.
  • A webhook endpoint keeps failing or disables itself with 410.
  • Text alerts to an enabled forwarding number are stopped.
  • New lead alerts, Missed call alerts, and Weekly digests go to every user with access to the business who has that switch turned on, plus any extra addresses listed on the business. These three switches start on for business-owner team members and invited agency clients, and start off for agency staff (who can turn them on anytime).
  • Problems emails go only to account users (admins and assigned standard users) who have Problems turned on, never to invited clients. This switch starts on.
  • Extra lead-alert addresses: Under Settings → Notifications on a business, account users can add up to five addresses under Also send lead alerts to. Every address listed there receives all new lead alerts, missed call alerts, and weekly digests regardless of anyone’s personal switches. Click Remove next to an address to stop sending to it.

On an agency’s client business, emails to invited clients and extra addresses are sent under your agency’s name, and replies go to your agency.

Settings → Notifications also displays whether each forwarding number has text alerts enabled (choose Manage to adjust them on Tracking). If nobody is set to receive a business’s new lead emails (for example, an agency business with no invited client, no extra addresses, and agency staff switches off), Notifications warns New lead emails have no recipient: add an extra address, turn on New lead alert, or invite your client.

Every email above includes an unsubscribe link scoped strictly to the address that received it:

  • Clicking unsubscribe in a user’s email turns off that specific alert type in their Email alerts across all businesses they can open, without changing anyone else’s settings.
  • Clicking unsubscribe in an extra address’s email removes that address from Also send lead alerts to on that business (an account user can add it back later if needed).

Every Admin on the account automatically receives billing, payment, low-balance, and tracking number renewal warning emails. Billing emails cannot be turned off, and when your plan stops running, they are the only emails NMC sends.

  1. Confirm the switch is enabled under that user’s Settings → Email alerts (or confirm an extra address is still listed under Settings → Notifications).
  2. Confirm the user still has access to that business (and, for an invited client, that they accepted their invitation), and check spam or junk folders.
  3. Keep in mind that new lead alerts and missed call alerts fire at most once per lead; repeat calls, texts, or forms grouped onto an existing lead update the inbox without sending a second alert email.
