Permissions and data

See what NMC reads and changes in each Google integration, and what happens when you disconnect.

You connect each Google integration separately. Before approving access, check which Google account you’re signed in with, which Google Ads account, Google Business Profile, or Google Analytics property you’re selecting, and what NMC will configure there.

Integration What NMC reads and stores What NMC changes in Google
Google Ads Connected Google account, Google Ads account and campaign details, conversion settings, ad results, and upload statuses for conversions NMC sends. Creates NMC’s observation-only conversion actions in the Google Ads account (or in the manager account that counts its conversions). Appends nmc_ click parameters to Final URL suffixes at every level, turns on auto-tagging, and turns on Call Reporting when you track ad calls. Updates conversion goals only when you choose a stage to bid on and click Apply. Uploads conversions, attaches call assets with tracking numbers, and includes hashed form contact details only if you turn that setting on. See what NMC changes.
Google Business Profile Connected Google account, the Google Business Profiles it can access, the selected Google Business Profile’s original website URL, and its original and tracking numbers while tracked. Adds UTM tags to the website URL so website visits from your Google Business Profile are credited accurately (unless the visitor clicked one of your Google ads first), and sets the tracking number as the primary phone while keeping your original numbers as additional phones. Removing tracking while connected puts your original primary phone back and leaves the tagged website URL in place.
Google Contacts Connected Google account along with the names, phone numbers, and Google contact IDs needed to sync NMC contacts. Creates a business contact group in Google Contacts and syncs eligible NMC contacts into it. Name edits in Google Contacts sync back to NMC; contacts deleted in Google Contacts aren’t recreated.
Google Analytics Connected Google account, the GA4 properties and website data streams it can access, and the Measurement Protocol secret key NMC creates on your chosen property. Accepts Google’s user data collection acknowledgement for the property, creates a secret key named "No Missed Conversions", marks NMC’s new, qualified, and converted lead events as key events, and registers NMC’s lead event parameters as custom definitions. Sends website lead lifecycle and activity events. See Google Analytics.
Local Services Ads Connected Google account, accessible Google Ads accounts and campaigns, and for your chosen account: name, currency, timezone, daily Local Services Ads spend, and days when Google lists calls in the account. Nothing (read-only).

Removing tracking, disconnecting, and revoking access

Section titled “Removing tracking, disconnecting, and revoking access”

These three actions do different things:

  • Remove tracking removes NMC’s tracking number from a Google Ads call asset or puts your original primary phone number back on your Google Business Profile (leaving the tagged website URL as is). Google must still be connected in NMC for NMC to make that update for you.
  • Disconnect in NMC stops NMC from using the Google connection going forward. Settings and numbers already placed in Google stay as they are. Disconnecting Google Ads also unlinks that Google Ads account from the business, so reconnecting later requires choosing the account again.
  • Revoke access in your Google account cuts off NMC’s token from Google’s side. You’ll need to click Reconnect in NMC before NMC can read or update that integration again.

Always remove tracking numbers from your ads or Google Business Profile and confirm the update finished before disconnecting or revoking Google access. Synced contacts remain in Google Contacts after disconnecting, and some previously uploaded Google Ads conversions can’t be removed.

Integrations marked Coming soon aren’t available yet; only integrations shown as active options in your dashboard can be connected.
