How NMC works

Follow how NMC turns incoming calls, texts, forms, and emails into leads and Google Ads conversions.

NMC brings phone calls, incoming texts, website form submissions, and forwarded customer emails together in one inbox. You can see how each customer found you, follow up quickly, and record which leads turned into paying jobs.

  1. Tracking numbers forward incoming calls straight to your existing business phone. On your website, NMC’s script swaps in a tracking number from your pool and records form submissions along with the visits that led up to them, so NMC knows where each lead came from.

  2. Every call, incoming text, form submission, or forwarded email is saved as an Activity. When call recording is enabled, audio playback and transcripts appear directly on the call.

  3. NMC matches people by phone number first and email address second, grouping follow-up calls, texts, forms, and emails about the same request onto a single Lead. Over time, the same Contact can have separate leads for future jobs.

  4. As you speak with the customer, move the lead from New to Qualified and then Converted (with the job value), or close leads that aren’t real opportunities. The NMC method explains why those three stages give Google Ads the clearest signal.

  5. Once your Google Ads account is connected, NMC uploads conversions for leads that arrive afterward. Depending on how the customer reached you, NMC matches conversions using the lead’s Google Ads click, hashed form contact details (when enabled), or the call from your ad. Leads without any matchable ad signal stay in NMC without uploading to Google Ads.

For example, if a homeowner calls about a broken furnace and texts their street address five minutes later, NMC groups both activities onto one lead. Once they book the repair, you mark that lead Converted and enter the job amount.

You choose where tracking numbers appear, which forwarding number rings, who receives alerts, and how each lead progresses. You also keep an active plan and a balance above $0 so call forwarding and tracking run uninterrupted.

AI review reads new activities and suggests closing spam or wrong numbers, so your inbox stays tidy, though it never guesses what happened offline after a call or form.

Before connecting Google Ads, review what NMC changes in Google Ads. Before placing a tracking number on your Google Business Profile or printed materials, read that source’s guide so you know how to swap your own number back if you ever stop tracking it.
